Arlene Carole Pecor

Arlene Carole Pecor passed away on October 13, 2026 in Hardeeville, SC surrounded by her family. Arlene was born on July 26, 1938. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

Arlene shared life with her devoted husband, Richard J. Pecor, for 72 years. Their loving relationship began in 1954, at Calumet High School, Chicago IL. They were married at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Chicago, IL on February 15, 1958. Together, they built a loving family and shared many precious years filled with memories that will be treasured forever. Their love transcends time and until her death, they continued to hold hands and kiss one another daily.

She was the loving mother of five children: Jeffrey (Kim) Pecor, Nancy Kuhn, Scott (Sherry) Pecor, Dianne (Jesus) Pulido, and Douglas (Sandy) Pecor. Arlene was a loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Arlene was devoted to her faith and was very active in the Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister as well as a volunteer for hospitality and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Society. Arlene had a rare gift for making people feel loved and welcomed.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Ralph Toepfer, and her sister, Sandra Compton. Though she is no longer with us, the love Arlene gave will live on through the family she cherished, the memories she created, and the many lives she brightened.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remember and forever held in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

A private funeral mass will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Agape Hospice or St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Bluffton, SC.
