Arthur H. Paton

Arthur H. Paton, age 83, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Chester, NJ died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Mr. Paton was born on February 20, 1933 in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Arthur Eugene Paton and Florence Batchelder Paton. He was a graduate of Bates College where he earned a degree in Economics. He worked for many years in sales providing gift products. He ultimately owned his own business, The Exclusive Shop which provided high end gift products. He was a member of Lowcountry Presbyterian Church. Mr. Paton is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy A. Paton; daughters, Lori Cox (James) of Atlanta, GA and Susan Gilbert (Don) of Mooresville, IN; sons, David Paton of East Windsor, NJ and Steven Paton (Michelle) of Marietta, GA; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Lowcountry Presbyterian Church.
