Arthur Samuel Rosenzweig

Arthur S. Rosenzweig, age 79, passed away on October 5, 2026 at Broad Creek Care Center in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Dr. Max and Phyllis Rosenzweig and step mother the late Reba Rosenzweig.

Art attended Temple University Undergraduate and Law school in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

He worked for the Federal Government for 34 years in the Washington, DC area. Art was in the United States Army Reserves.

He loved playing chess with his son, grandsons and the Sun City Chess Club. Art had a love of history and was an avid reader. He loved to sing with his synagogue choirs and enjoyed all types of music. Art loved trying out new foods and recipes. Working out and running were a part of Art's life for many years. His wit and humor were always with him.

An important part of his life was helping to start a synagogue, Congregation Adat Reyim in West Springfield, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Rhoda Lewis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susan Rosen Rosenzweig, a son, Bret David Rosenzweig (Grace) and a daughter, Lee Rosenzweig Dorman (Ryan), a brother, Michael Rosenzweig(Carole) and a step brother, Paul Siegel.

Four grandsons, Rafael, Helio, Levi and Milo, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah, Temple Oseh Shalom or Mirasol Hospice.
