Arthur T. Smith

Arthur T. Smith passed away September 18. 2024 following his battle with cancer that started in 2010.

Art received his engineering degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.  During his professional career he worked in the petroleum field in Texas and the construction industry in New Jersey.  He moved to South Carolina seventeen years ago.  Here, he thoroughly enjoyed golfing with his friends and caring for his beautiful garden. Cruising was his favorite vacation. He was an avid puzzle solver and actually guessed the NYT Wordle of the day on the first guess—Twice!  Art could fix anything and often helped his family when his skills were needed.  Art (Bud) was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, Florence, his sons Arthur Jr and Kevin, his step children , grandchildren, neighbors and friends.
