Barbara Ann Billington Dzek

Barbara Ann Billington Dzek, born on March 23, 1942, in Amsterdam, New York, left us February 1, 2026. Barbara’s life journey took her across the country, shaping cherished memories in each community she touched. She had lived in New York, Tennessee, California, Minnesota, and South Carolina. In each of these places she nurtured friendships, supported her family, and shared her generous spirit. Throughout her life, Barbara brought warmth, strength, and kindness to every place she called home.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Raymond Dzek, Sr., whose partnership with her was a testament to enduring love. She is also lovingly remembered by their four children —Raymond Jr., Renee, Michelle, and Dianna — as well as five grandchildren, all of whom she adored and who brought great joy to her life.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Barbara will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her unwavering dedication to family, and the gentle grace she carried throughout her life. She had a passion for creativity and her legacy lives on in the beauty she created, the countless lives she touched and the love and beauty she leaves behind.

A small private celebration of her life was held in Bluffton, SC. She will be moved to be with her family in upstate NY where a family celebration will be held at the chapel at St Casmir's cemetery in Amsterdam, NY, July 30th, 2026 at 11:30 AM.
