Barbara Anne Fleury, 81 of Ridgeland, SC and widow of Philippe Donald (Deacon Phil) Fleury passed away at her home on June 27, 2016. Barbara was born in New Bedford, MA on April 6, 1935. Barbara was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ridgeland; nurse and paramedic; former Director of Emergency Medical Services for Jasper County; former Magistrate and Municipal Judge for Town of Hardeeville; recipient of the Living Legends Awards for Jasper County; former Youth Director and Director of Religious Education at Holy Faith Catholic Church in Gainesville, FL; Red Cross Volunteer; worked to support veterans of the Vietnam War; taught religious education from Japan to Sumter, SC to Ridgeland, SC. Barbara is survived by her sons, Michael P. Fleury (Zoe) and Richard W. Fleury (Debbie) all of Ridgeland; her daughters, Donna F. Floyd Ridgeland, Katrina F. Reed (Mike) of Crossville, AL and Patricia Altman of Estill, SC; her grandchildren, Renee F. Bannon (Brian), James P. Floyd (Kelli), Misti Pinckney (Elias), Raine Byrd (Matthew), Jess Fleury, Rachel Stringam (Brennan) Christopher Fleury (Melissa), Nicholas D. Fleury (Amy), Ian P. Fleury, Caroline Gialone (Guiseppe), Dana Tinnel (Lauren), Emma Reed, Chelsea Marie Hodges, Brian L. Altman, Courtney Kendricks (Joe) and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Fleury Hodges, her brother, Edward A. Lawrence and her sisters, Elizabeth Lawrence and Margaret M. Lawrence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Ridgeland with burial at 1:00 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort. The Rosary will be held at 9:00 am, Thursday prior to the funeral service at St. Anthony’s.
