Barbara Louise Jones Javery

November 27, 1956 — June 4, 2025

Barbara (Meemaw) Louise Jones Javery, cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and dear friend to many, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. She entered this world in Homerville, Georgia, and was raised in Savannah, Georgia. For the last several decades, she called Hardeeville, SC, her home. Barbara was a remarkable individual, whose diverse talents shone brightly throughout her life.

Barbara dedicated herself to various careers, each reflecting her boundless compassion and deep affection for others. She embarked on her journey as a waitress at Waffle House. Her favorite job was working along aside her baby sister Michelle detailing semi trucks at Frieghtliner.  In her later years, she found fulfillment at being a store clerk at Lawton Oil. In her final days, she found joy in the company of friends and family, sharing warm embraces and imparting her ever-optimistic outlook on life.

In addition to her dedication to her career, she will be remembered most fondly for her cherished roles as a mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy was found in the presence of her family and friends, relishing both intimate conversations and the warmth of large gatherings. Her passion for serving others was truly remarkable. Her residence stood as a testament to warmth and commitment, a sentiment echoed by the countless visitors who graced her door throughout the years. Her affection for friends and family was profound, yet their love for her surpassed even that depth.

Barbara is survived by her cherished children; Amanda (Mandy) Leake, Christopher Javery and his wife Autumn Javery, Shannon Carmody and her husband Nick Carmody, and Sean Javery and his wife Brittany Javery. She is remembered fondly by her siblings; Brenda Kirkland, and Frank Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Joesph Javery and her parents and siblings, Bobby (Papa) Lamar Jones, Allison Louise Jones, her oldest brother Bobby Lamar Jones, her sister’s Virginia Jones and Michelle Jones. We would be remiss without mentioning her nephew’s and grandchildren; Clifford Swanson, Preston Kirkland, Neal Kirkland, Kyle Kirkland, Britton Javery, Finley Javery, Leiland Javery, Levi Carmody, and Anna Grace Leake.

Her sweet family brought joy and purpose to her days, illuminating her life with their presence. She embraced each moment spent with them, enveloping them in endless affection, comfort, and insight. Her unwavering commitment to them was profound, and the pride she felt in their every achievement reflected the immense happiness they brought into her life. For Barbara, the role of grandmother transcended mere duty; it was her most cherished blessing and an everlasting source of joy.

A gathering to honor her life, a life well-lived will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery on Friday, June 27th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of other gestures, kindly direct all floral tributes to Martin Sauls Funeral Home located in Ridgeland, SC.
