Barbara Baker Polson

Barbara Baker Polson, 74, of Bluffton, SC, passed away Sunday, August 25, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

Mrs. Polson was born in Charlotte, NC, to the late Dorothy and Julian Baker. Her greatest joy was raising her family with her husband of 47 years and later loving on her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Polson. Survivors are daughters Keri DeVaney (Mark) of Bluffton, SC, Shannon Shea (Chris) of Charlotte NC, sisters Janice Brady and Debbie Hammers, and six grandchildren: Addie DeVaney, Cole DeVaney, Rylan DeVaney, Andi DeVaney, Tayte DeVaney, and Colin Shea.

A drop-in visitation/reception will take place Thursday, September 5, from 4-6 pm at the Picnic Barn at Hornets Nest Park (6301Beatties Ford Rd) in Charlotte. A reception will also be held in Bluffton at a later date.
