Barbara Ann (Slack) Allen

Barbara Ann Allen of  Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully October 23, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born in Marmet, WV, the eldest daughter of George Harold Slack and Anna Kathleen Slack. She was an excellent student, majorette and a member of the all-county chorus while attending East Bank High School. Barbara graduated from USC, Magnum Cum Laude in Elementary Education. She taught at Flowertown Elementary and Newington Elementary.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Dean Allen and her brother Charles Slack. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Dunigan (Michael) and Linda Smith (Brendan) and her granddaughter, Shannon Pike (Aaron), her great grandchildren, Morgan, Paul and Elizabeth Pike. In addition, her surviving siblings are her brother Dale Slack (Barbara) and Karen Johns as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a beloved wife and mother. She will forever in our hearts.
