Barbara Ann Smith Cherewko

Barbara Ann Smith Cherewko, 71, of Bluffton, died August 26, 2012 at Hilton Head Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of the late William Parker and Marie Catherine Paptistella Smith.She completed her undergraduate work at Towson University and received her Masters degree at Johns Hopkins University. She was a school teacher for the Baltimore County School System. She enjoyed travelling.She is survived by her son, Gregory (Laura) Cherewko of Bluffton, SC; daughter Tanya (Matthew) Maguire of Stevensville, MD; and grandchildren Elizabeth, Hannah, and Grace Cherewko, and Ashleigh Maguire.A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Monday, September 10, 2012 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 171 Cordillo Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC.
