Barbara Ann Vezeau of Bluffton, SC died at her home December 19, 2010 after a long battle with breast cancer, she was 68.Barbara was born April 10, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Joseph and Margaret Doswald. After receiving her BA degree in Education in 1978 from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, she taught in public and parochial elementary schools Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, and South Carolina. She also obtained a Master in Education with a specialty in Reading in 1986 from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing Mah Jongg, line and square dancing, participating in book clubs, and in following political issues. She was a devoted Catholic and an active participant in parish activities. Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael F. Vezeau; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Liana of Dacula, GA and Scott and Miya of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Bradley, Geneva, Savannah, Aileen, Jennifer, Alexandra, and Michael; five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Irene Hughes. A memorial service will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 23049 Whyte Hardee Blvd in Hardeeville, SC at 11:00 am on December 28, 2010 with a reception to follow at the St. Anthony Family Center at 1 Charles Street in Hardeeville, SC.Memorial donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, P.O.
