Bernice Rock

Bernice Rock, 97, of Bluffton and formerly New City, New York passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Addison of Bluffton.

Bernice was born October 22, 1927 in New York City to immigrant parents Harry Abramowitz and Regina Adler Abramowitz. In 1947 she married the late Meyer Rock who passed away in 2010. At this point she moved as a widow to Sun City. Previously, Bernice had worked as a school secretary in the NYC special education school division for about 40 years before retiring.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Sharon Benchabat of Israel and Melanie Farace of Fairport , NY; brother Arthur Abramowitz; four grandchildren, Rivka, Malkiella, Jennifer and Jessica; and eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Lowcountry Memorial Gardens, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
