Betty Jean Corbitt

Betty Jean Corbitt, 85, of Orange Park, FL, formerly of Ridgeland, SC, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Heartland Nursing Home in Orange Park, FL.

Mrs. Corbitt was born July 1, 1932 in Ehrhardt, SC to the late Sammy Hiers and Carrie E. Brown Hiers. While living in Ridgeland, SC, she was an office manager for Pinckney Furniture Company. She was a Baptist.

Mrs. Corbitt is survived by her sons, John Allen Mathis (Sharon) of Mandarin, FL, and Randy and Kevin Corbitt, both of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Linda Corbitt Postell of Beaufort, SC; brother, Lester Hiers; grandchildren, Kelly, Allen, Beth, Ashley, Jerimy, and Nicole; several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duncan Cary Corbitt, Sr.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.
