Betty Ann Woods Atkins, 86, of Hilton Head Island, SC died February 3, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 20, 1928 in Ridgeland, South Carolina the daughter of the late Rufus and Rosa Lee Berg Woods. She moved from Ridgeland to Hilton Head Island in 1962 to work at Sea Pines and was a business owner on the Island for many years and was among the early developers of Hilton Head Island. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hilton Head Island. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, F. Laurie Atkins, Sr. She is survived by her son, Frank L. Atkins, Jr. (Eve Bryan) of Hilton Head Island, SC; 3 daughters, Regina Louise O'Connor (Arthur) of Tempe, AZ, Patty Jo Atkins (Archie La Roche) of Hilton Head Island, SC and Joyce Ann Atkins (Jeff Davis) of Hilton Head Island, SC; 1 sister, Barbara Mills of Ridgeland, SC; 6 grandchildren, Rosa Lee Armstead, Ashley Atkins, Timothy George Dasher, Jr. (Kimberly), Tiffany Atkins, Joseph Tanner Atkins, and Laurie Atkins; and 6 great grandchildren, Rhyan Armstead, Dylan Armstead, Trinity Grace Atkins, Jerome Reese, Jr., Jacobi Maldonado, and Timothy George Dasher, III. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Friday, February 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Hilton Head, 100 South Forest Beach Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 with burial following at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines Plantation. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Friday, February 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Hilton Head, 100 South Forest Beach Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 with burial following at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines Plantation.
