Beverly Walker Pratt

Beverly Walker Pratt died on October 22nd 2022 at the age of 87. She was born in Loch Haven, PA to Bruce and "Verna" Walker.  After attending Loch Haven High school she graduated from the William Beebe School of nursing as a RN. She married John L. Pratt in 1956 and was a loving wife and mother of 3 sons John Jr, David and Chad.

Beverly's husband, John, joined the Navy in 1955 and began a 22 year career which took the family to many places starting in Pensacola, Florida and culminating in Subic Bay, Philippines in 1977. After John's retirement as a Commander they owned and operated Casa Del Mar resort in Barrio Baretto Philippines before returning to the United States in 1983.

Beverly was a tireless worker and a success at everything she endeavored. In addition to being a registered nurse, she volunteered at base hospitals, taught flower arranging at several duty stations and opened a flower shop for the Navy at Patuxant River, MD. She also started a property management company in Escondido, CA before retiring to Bluffton in 1995.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John, and youngest son, Chad. Survivors include hers Sons John Jr (Maria) and David (Dawn), grandchildren Christopher, Hillary, Jordan, Hannah and Aaron , beloved brother and sister in law Orvid and Barbara Pratt  and their children Lynda, Amy and David. She is also survived by her much loved Step Grandson Dalton, his cherished daughter Harper and many friends.

Per her wishes, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you spread random acts of kindness in your own private way in Beverly’s honor.
