Bill "Willy" Campbell Lincicome

Bill Campbell “Willy” Lincicome, 73, passed away on December 14, 2025, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Born on October 15, 1952, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to family, a passion for design and the outdoors, and an enduring spirit of generosity.

Bill pursued an impressive academic path that reflected his deep commitment to architecture and environmental design. He studied at West Virginia University and Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from North Carolina State University. He continued his education at Georgia Tech, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Architecture. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a career defined by innovation and thoughtful design.

A man of many interests and talents, Bill found joy in the natural world and the thrill of competition. He was an avid golfer who cherished time on the course, a hunter with a deep respect for nature, and spent time over the years skiing with family. His love for landscaping reflected his eye for beauty and harmony in outdoor spaces. He followed horse racing with enthusiasm and enjoyed attending the Kentucky Derby many times through the years. Bill also enjoyed cooking for those around him, sharing meals as an expression of care and connection.

Above all else, Bill was a family man whose devotion to loved ones shaped every aspect of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife Cookie; his son Scott; grandsons Davis and Spencer; and siblings Maryellen, Bob, Liz, and Charlie. He also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors who were touched by his warmth and generosity.

Bill was predeceased by his parents—affectionately remembered as Mom and Daddy Bob—his granddaughter Campbell; his sister Susie; brother-in-law Steve Jackson; and nephew Ryan Lincicome.

Those who knew Bill remember him as generous in spirit, committed in purpose, and innovative in thought. His legacy lives on through the lives he enriched with kindness, creativity, and unwavering support.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held in Hilton Head South Carolina in March 2026 followed by a celebration of life in West Virginia. Details to follow.
