Bjorg “Bj” Laxman

Bjorg “BJ” Laxman, age 75, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of New York State died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at home. Mrs. Laxman was born on April 19, 1942 in Kristiansand, Norway, the daughter of the late Inger and Peder Rynningen. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Dr. Art Laxman; daughters, Ingrid Judy Peterson (Rodney), Cindy Tanda Powers (Stephen), and Jessica Lynn Kearns (Kevin Richard); son, Eric David Laxman (Marta Siberio); brother, Hans Rynningen; and grandchildren, Kristina Leigh Scheibner, Melissa Marie Scheibner, Kevin Peter Scheibner, Amanda Rose Pizzuco, Stephen Christopher Pizzuco, Matthew Richard Kearns, Olivia Rose Kearns, and Seth Laxman. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research or Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
