Blake Washington Mason Iii

Blake Washington Mason III, age 63 passed away on February 18, 2016 at the Effingham County Hospital, Springfield, GA. Blake was born in Hampton, SC on March 19, 1952 to the late Blake Washington Mason Jr. and Jeannine Harvey Mason. Blake was retired from the United States Air Force; present Pastor of the Beaufort Marine Institution for Young Men and member of Crocketville Masonic Lodge. Blake is survived by his wife Liz Mason of Rincon, GA; four sons, Blake W. Mason II (Thadra) of Wyoming, Steven Mason of Savannah, GA; Chris Lanier (Andrea) of Knoxville, TN and Sean Lanier of Rincon, GA; two daughters, Tabitha Gove and Mindy Lanier of Rincon, GA; one brother, Richard Mason (Lisa) of Brunson, SC; one sister, Melissa Altman (Herman) of Brunson, SC; and grandchildren, Brittany Gove, Adriana Gove, Christian Mason, Kaden Mason, Carri Mason, Taylor, Chelsea, Victoria, Kinsey, Alex, Kolton, Kendall, Kellen and Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC with burial at 1:00 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.
