Blanche Tuten Rivers

Blanche Tuten Rivers, age 69 of Furman, SC and widow of Jack James Rivers passed away on February 1, 2016 at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Mrs. Rivers was born in Hampton, SC on March 15, 1946 to the late Donald Tuten and Gladys Long Tuten. Mrs. Rivers was a Baptist and worked for many years at Estill Gas Company. She is survived by two sons, D. Bryan Rivers (Caroline) of Hampton, SC and David C. Rivers of Furman, SC; one brother, Robert Tuten (Grace) of Furman, SC; one sister, Nancy Crews of Scotia, SC; grandchildren, Jason Rivers (Allyson) of Varnville, SC; Travis Rivers of Varnville, SC; Kaitlyn Rivers of Hampton, SC and Carter Rivers of Hampton, SC; and two great grandchildren, Autumn Rivers and Jaxson Rivers. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Stafford Cemetery, Furman, SC.
