Bobzell "Bobbie" Rebecca Rogers (nee Ten Eyck) passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014 in Bluffton, SC. Beloved husband Wilbur "Doc" Rogers, dear friend Simon Strong, and three siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Valorie Sharpe (Timothy) of Bluffton, SC and granddaughter Jessica Relyea (Matthew) of Baton Rouge, LA. Bobbie was born on July 5, 1923 in Kokomo, IN to the late William and Minnie Ten Eyck. After living in Louisville, KY for a few years the family relocated to Cincinnati, OH where she graduated from Woodward High School in 1941. She and her husband settled into a home in Finneytown where they lived for over 40 years. She was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Mt. Healthy. She worked as a library aide at Cottonwood Elementary School and loved to read stories that she had written to the students. She and her husband moved to Maple Knoll Village in Springdale in 1993 where she continued to live an active and rewarding life. She moved to South Carolina in 2013 to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Bobbie was a vivacious and caring person with a wonderful laugh and she will be missed. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Spring Grove Cemetery. No services are planned.
