Boyd Lamar Floyd

Boyd Lamar Floyd, 59, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. He was born in Fairmont, NC on October 7, 1954 to the late Tillman Floyd and Janet Britt Floyd. He was a Supervisor for The Greenery; a graduate of The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he played football as a defensive back. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, camping and playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Catherine Williams Floyd of Ridgeland, SC; son, Travis Williams (Lisa) of Tybee Island, GA; daughter, Tracy Behrens (Jason) of Bluffton, SC; brother, Mike Floyd (Nancy) of Denver, NC; sisters, Gail Sherman (Garry) of Asheville, NC; Tricia Hall (Steve) of Landis, NC; Suzi Israel of Poquoson, VA; Kathy McLeod (Marty) of Jesup, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Behrens, Gabriel Behrens, Noah Williams and Andrew Williams; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Community Bible Church in Beaufort. Interment will be at 2:00 pm in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA.
