Bradford A. Johnston, 66, of Bluffton, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2012 at his home after battling cancer. Brad was born in Wakefield, MA on April 20, 1945, the son of the late Leslie Johnston and Irene (Gerrior) Johnston. Drafted into the Army in 1965 Brad spent a year in Vietnam before returning home to begin a career in sales. Brad worked for the Xerox Corporation for many years retiring in 2002. In 2003 Brad moved to the Lowcountry and worked several jobs; including the copy center at Staples, Golden Age Insurance and Stokes Toyota before retiring for good in 2010. A rabid New England Patriots fan Brad could often be found sporting a Pats hat or shirt and was willing to talk with any and all NFL fans about their teams. He was predeceased by 2 older brothers William and Thomas and leaves the eldest brother Leslie Jr. Brad leaves his beloved wife of 46 years Julie Johnston (Thompson), daughter Tracey McNeill and her husband Todd and one of the great joys of his life their daughter Katie. A visitation will be held at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton on Thursday, March 22nd from 5pm
