Branco Raiac

At only 71 years of age, Branco Raiac, Sr. passed away on November 27, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Flora, two sons Frank and Branco, Jr. and his brother Charlie.

Branco was born in Romania and showed an interest in all things culinary from an early age. He started working in kitchens at the age of 14. He honed is culinary skills in Romania learning the Italian language and art of cooking from visiting Italians. Branco met the love of his life, Flora, in school. When they moved the US with two young children, he continued perfecting his art. He and Flora owned a successful restaurant in Clufton, NJ for 10 years before moving to Hilton Head. Here, Branco opened Floras Italian Café. They served families and friends for twenty years with many patrons becoming friends.

He loved the outdoors and hunting. His quick smile lit up the entire room and infected everyone around him.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
