Brenda R. Brown

January 21, 1946 — June 13, 2022

Brenda Roberts Brown, 76, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away on June 13, 2022, after a brave and long health battle.

Brenda was born on January 21st, 1946, to Audrey and Joseph Roberts, Jr, in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Savannah High School and met and married the love of her life, Jeffrey Carl Brown on May 10 th , 1963.  They recently celebrated their 59 th wedding anniversary.

Jeff and Brenda had an incredible marriage filled with lots of laughter, fun family vacations to the North Carolina mountains, several Caribbean cruises, trips to the West coast and simple family dinners at home with their children and grandchildren.  As with any life, challenges arise and through each challenge they faced, they became stronger as a couple and were a fine example of a wonderful, supportive long-term marriage.

An avid Carolina Panthers fan, Brenda enjoyed watching her team play and win many games.  She also loved the Braves and enjoyed teasing her children about their teams.

In business, Brenda was a successful Interior Designer who loved creating beautiful spaces for her clients; several of whom became lifelong friends.

Brenda enjoyed raising eight Yorkshire Terriers with Jeff throughout their marriage and considered them her fur babies.  Each one had a special place in her heart and were greatly loved and cared for.

Brenda lit up any room she entered and made an impact on everyone she met. She loved her family and friends and filled her home with warmth and kindness and was an incredible cook. She could make any meal rival that of any restaurant.  And her sense of humor was priceless.  She enjoyed her classic TV shows and Romcom movies.  She taught her girls the value of hard work and the importance of putting family first. We will miss her greatly.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Audrey Roberts, father Joseph Roberts, Jr., sister Wylette Davis, and nephew Robert Ryan, Jr.. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Carl Brown of Bluffton, SC, daughter Tammye Brown of Bluffton, SC, daughter Tonya Wood and son-in-law Craig Wood, both of Dallas, TX, sister Naomi Ryan, brother-in-law Robert Ryan, both of Savannah, GA, sister-in-law Suzie Dutra, brother-in-law Carl Dutra, both of Folsom, CA and granddaughters Grace Wood and Lauren (& Kevin) Gibbons, niece Audrey Matthews, and nephews Daniel Ryan and Dr. Joseph Davis.
