Bruce Wayne Dawson

Bruce Wayne Dawson May 25, 1943-January 26, 2015 Bruce W. Dawson, age 71, husband of Sandra L. Dawson and a resident of Bluffton, SC passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at MUSC, Charleston. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton with Reverend Richard Smith of St. Luke's United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation with the family will also be held one hour prior to the service. Born on May 25, 1943, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Hal and Lois Dawson. He served his country as a Store Keeper Second Class on the USS Donner stationed in Little Creek, VA and later as a Staff Sergeant with the 112th Infantry of the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. He loved his family and his pets and will be deeply missed. He loved without condition and he was truly loved by all. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by brother in law and sister in law, Bob and Sherry Lee of Bluffton, his children Mark (Cindy) Dawson of Saegertown, PA, Michael (Rene') Dawson of Paducah, KY, Matthew (Patti) Dawson of Cibolo, TX and Michelle (Jeff) Dawson Parsley of Lebanon, TN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tanner, Clay, Layton, Christian, Liam, Kali, Hannah, Marliese, Owen and Abigail as well as his step grandchildren, Katy (Bruce) Jumper, Kevin, Kameron, Kelly and Kimberly Parsley of TN. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Dawson and his sister in law, Eleanor Dawson. Memorials may be sent in memory of Bruce W. Dawson to Maranatha Farm, 342 Crabapple Lane, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
