Burton Roux Harding

Burton Roux Harding “Burt" left this earth peacefully on May 21, 2021 after a long illness at the age of 91 at his home in Sun City Hilton Head, South Carolina.  Burt was greatly loved and a friend to many, and he will be profoundly missed.  He is survived by the love of his life, Letty Hill Harding, his two brothers Bill and Major Harding, his three children Becky Harding Morton, Mary Lou Harding and Farley Harding, along with three granddaughters and two great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his son, Burton “Roux” Harding, Jr.

As a young man, Burt began his career in ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, working with young people on college campuses throughout the southeastern United States.  He then transitioned into insurance sales/financial consulting, from which he retired. His great love was teaching the Bible which he continued to do in his church throughout his lifetime.  Family and friends are invited to memorial services.
