C. Roger Beard, 65, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in the Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Holden, MA on February 23, 1944. He was the son of the late Charles H. and Rita Chartier Beard.He was a successful business owner. He was a former asphalt plant operator and taxi cab owner. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a US Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband.He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Beard of Bluffton, SC; four sons, Derek (Dina) Beard, Michael Beard and Jonathan Beard all of Bluffton, SC and Robert (Nancy) Beard of Charlton, MA; one daughter, Chamoni Doamaral of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Charlene Blake of West Brookfield, MA and grandchildren, Joshua Doamaral, Amber Beard and Remmy Beard.Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
