Carl “Bud” Brown, formerly of Sayre, PA, passed away October 7, 2022 in Bluffton, SC. He was married to Glenda Fraley Brown for 62 years.
Born June 27, 1938 in Owego, NY, Bud was the son of the late Carl S. and Florence Mullaly Brown of Sayre. Bud worked at the IR in Athens for 31 years and volunteered at the Guthrie Clinic for ten years as a yellow hat and shuttle driver. He was an avid fan of Penn State, the LA Dodgers, and the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family, loved golf, and achieved two hole-in-ones! He loved animals and they loved him. Bud was kind to everyone and a friend to all.
Bud is survived by his wife, Glenda; his son, Kevin (Lauren) Brown of St. Louis; daughter, Cindy Frisbie of Bluffton; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Donna Babcock and Harold (Dido) Brown. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kourtney Frisbie Chausse and siblings Bill, Marion, Jean, and Barbara.
No local services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Stray Haven Animal Shelter (https://strayhavenspca.org/give) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
