Carl Mark DiGiulio, age 72 of Sun City, passed away at home, on Feb. 13, 2016. After a 13 year remission from acute leukemia it returned. Carl was born in Albany, New York, on June 1, 1943, to Constantino DiGiulio and the late Edith E. DiGiulio. He grew up in the Albany area, received his Bachelor’s degree from Siena College, and his MBA from Union College in Schnectady. He was in ROTC in college, and served overseas in the U.S. Army Missile Defense, and was a Captain when he retired from active duty. Carl retired from Xerox after 25 years of service in Finance and Logistics/Inventory Management in Rochester, NY. He also worked for Norton Company and General Electric. Throughout Carl’s life he was always seen as a very caring and forthright individual, with a wonderful sense of humor and story telling that made others feel good. Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edie, his daughter Kim DiGiulio-Goldfarb (Greg) of San Francisco, his son Craig (Tonie) of Austin, 4 wonderful Grandchildren, Diego, Alessandro, Alexa, and Reese, his Father Coz (age 99), and brother Curt both of Albany, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who were very much an important part of Carl’s life, nieces, nephews, an uncle, and cousins. Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Riverbend in Sun City on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 4:00 pm.
