Carlotta Morrison Horry

Carlotta Morrison Horry died February 9, 2013 at her home after an illness. She was born on April 4, 1951, to Evelyn and Elias Horry in Ridgeland, SC. She graduated from Brevard College, College of Charleston, and received a Masters degree in Education from Valdosta State University. She worked in the education field for 33 years as a classroom teacher and as the sole proprietor of Carla Horry Educational Services, Inc.Carla loved and was beloved by her family. She is survived by her husband, Wade Garnet Kalinowsky, daughter Anna Barton (David) of Rincon, GA, sons Adam Ducey (Lori) of Thomson, GA and Morgan Ducey (Verona) of Indian Trial, NC; dearly loved grandchildren David Allen, Ian, Anna Wells, Charlie, Andie Lou, Sloan, Sadie and Sawyer. She is also survived by a large extended family including sisters Mary Elise Gabbard, Laurel Yates, brothers John D., Malcolm, and Joel Horry. She was predeceased by her stepson, Garrett Kalinowsky, a brother Hugh Horry and sister Evelyn Leland.Carla was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Grahamville, SC, (Ridgeland) and had been a member of St. Paul
