Carol Sue Rasmussen

Carol Sue Rasmussen, 70, died Thursday, April 25, at home. She was born August 15, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a long time resident of Sun City Hilton Head, active in a number of local clubs. Mrs. Rasmussen is survived by her husband Bob, mother Helen Sherman, sister and brother-in-law Linda and Dick Snedaker, son John Vanek, son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Holly Vanek, and grandson CJ Vanek. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 2, at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church on Simmonsville Road in Bluffton. Everyone who knew Carol loved her for her humor and good spirit. In all the gatherings, she was cheerful and full of good spirits making everyone laugh. Once a friend, always a dear friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She wanted her epitaph to be "I made them laugh". In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
