Caroline Baker Swett

Caroline Baker Swett, age 86 of Hardeeville, SC and widow of Donald Rufus Swett, passed away on January 23, 2016 in Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC. Mrs. Swett was born in Great Falls, SC on April 27, 1929 to the late William Wylie Baker and Lula Mae Stevens Baker. Mrs. Swett worked in the cafeteria school system in Charlotte-Mecklenburg; she was a Presbyterian; member of Fleming Baptist Church in Midway, GA and was raised at Thornwell Children’s Home in Clinton, SC. Mrs. Swett is survived by her sons,V. Mark Swett (Malinda) of Hardeeville and Roy Swett of Hardeeville; her daughter, Miriam Jan Stroud (Don) of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Rozella Rimes of Savannah, GA; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Elisha, Micah, Frank, John, Nikki, Beth, Ashley, Stephen, and Jason; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Fleming Baptist Church, Midway, GA.
