Carolyn Ann Cooler Hubbard

Carolyn Cooler Hubbard, 71, of Hardeeville, SC (formerly of Vance, SC) passed away December 13, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones after a 6 year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Carolyn was born in Ridgeland, SC on November 16, 1951 to Mildred Wall Cooler and Charles V. Cooler, Sr. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Carolyn loved life and lived her life to the fullest. After a successful career as a real estate broker, she joined her husband in the KFC business which enabled her to travel and make many lasting friendships as part of the “KFC family.” She was active in the Swamp Fox Boat Club, where she served as the treasurer for 28 years and was instrumental in organizing the annual boat poker run to raise funds for the local first responders. She competed for many years, along with her husband and son, across the southeast on the SKA and FLW Kingfish Tournament Trails and was well respected as a top lady angler. Most of all, she enjoyed traveling with “the girls,” granddaughters Jamie and Rebecca, and taking them to new places.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 51 years Mike Hubbard, son Michael Hubbard (Jennifer), granddaughters Jamie and Rebecca Hubbard, sister Nancy Harper, brother Charlie Cooler (Melba), niece Kristy Harper and father-in-law Earl Hubbard. She was predeceased by her mother and father as well as her mother-in-law Annie Laurie Hubbard.

A celebration of life and burial will be held Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Red Dam Baptist Church in Hardeeville. The family will receive visitors from 2-3, funeral service at 3, and the burial to follow in the church cemetery.
