Carolyn Hogue

Carolyn Hogue, age 84 of Crescent, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at The Preston Health Center after a brief illness on February 25, 2024. She was born in Sewickley, PA in 1939 to Thomas Smith and Vera Sevin.  Carolyn attended the Sewickley Valley Hospital nursing school, graduating with her RN degree. She loved playing pinochle, bingo and going to the Mountaineer casino to play the slot machines with her sister and sister in law. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Charles Hogue, her sister Edith Figo and brother Thomas Smith.  She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Apollo (Frank), son, Michael Hogue (Lyn), granddaughters, Kara and Rachel Hogue, sister Margaret Hitt and sister in law, Clara Smith. She wanted to be cremated without any services.  In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the ASPCA or the Compassus (hospice) Living Foundation in her honor.
