Carolyn McCoy, a longtime resident of North Atlanta and Alpharetta passed away in Hilton Head, SC on December 12, 2011. Carolyn was born and raised in Union City, TN and attended the University of Tennessee and Georgetown University Nursing School where she graduated in 1948. While working as a registered nurse in Washington, DC, Carolyn met and married Dr. John M. McCoy, her husband of over 60 years. Carolyn and John settled in Atlanta in 1955, following John
