Beloved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend and Firefighter
Catherine Irene Daugherty, a woman of immense warmth, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at age 44. She was the proud and dedicated mother of three exceptional children, who were the light of her life. Catherine's love for them was boundless; she guided them with wisdom, showered them affectionately, and joyfully filled their lives. The comforting aroma of her cooking often floated through the house, turning ordinary days into cherished family gatherings. She found joy in creating meals that brought everyone together. Catherine's energy was contagious; she lit up any room she entered.
Catherine served her community with the same passion and dedication. As a firefighter, she didn't just embody bravery; she was a living example of it, always ready to help anyone who needed it. Everyone who knew Catherine didn't just remember her for her strength, inclusiveness, sense of humor, charisma, and bravery; they were deeply impacted by it. All these things didn't just make Catherine who she is; they made her a pillar. Beyond her roles as a wife, mother, and firefighter, Catherine was also a cherished daughter and sister. Her family was the center of her world, and no matter what challenges life threw at her, she always had her incredible family's support and love. Catherine's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She leaves behind a family that will forever treasure the memories of her laughter, her stories, and the unconditional love she gave. Though she may no longer be with us, she will continue to inspire us all with a line from a song she loved: "Yeah, I used to fall, now I get back up." This motto serves as a powerful reminder of her resilience and the strength she instilled in those around her. May she rest in peace, knowing she made the world a better place simply by being in it. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local fire department to honor Catherine's dedication to serving others. Catherine Irene Daugherty will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
