Catherine Fripp Gaston

Catherine Fripp Gaston, widow of Cecil James Gaston Jr., 101 of Okatie, SC passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home.She was born in Ridgeland, SC on August 14, 1909. She was the daughter of the late John Murkle and Isabella Fripp Pinckney.She was a retired cook. She was a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church, a former choir member and Mother of the church.She is survived by her step son, Ernest (Mattie) Small of Louisville, KY; daughters, Delores Gaston and Carrie Gaston Henderson of Okatie, SC; and one brother, Edward (Louise) Pinckney of Ridgeland, SC. She was predeceased by sons, Bruce Gaston, John Gaston, Cecil Gaston and Alphonso Gaston; daughter, Catherine Gaston and sister, Lillie Fripp Mike.Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Luke Baptist Church with burial in Low Bottom Cemetery. A Visitation will be held from 6:30 til 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Luke Baptist Church.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
