Catherine Romeo

Catherine Romeo (Katie) passed away peacefully at Life Care Center, Hilton Head Island, SC on Monday, October 22, 2007.She was born in New York City on May 26, 1907 to the late Anthony and Frances Romeo. She attended school in New York City to the eighth grade and then had to leave school to help support the family by working as a seamstress.This past May 26th, we had the privilege of celebrating her 100th birthday with family and friends. It was a special day. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton and prior to that Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Queens Village, NY. She played the mandolin and loved to dance. Whenever the music started playing, she would be found on the dance floor. Now she is dancing with the angels. She was a wonderful mother and caregiver and never had to be asked to help out. She was always there to help and did it with a smile.She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Breininger and her husband James; James
