Cecil Edward Collins

Cecil Edward Collins, 90, of Hardeeville, SC passed away on July 27, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Collins was born on March 19, 1926 in Warsaw, GA to the late Henry Clayton Collins and Thelma Blackston Collins. He was a retired US Army veteran. During his 22 years of service, Mr. Collins served in WWII- European Theater, Taiwan, and Alaska. He was the former owner of Collins Heating and Air; he enjoyed fishing and fixing anything. He was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle for 32 years, where he served as a greeter.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Marguerite G. Collins of Hardeeville, SC; sons, Donald E. Collins (Marisi) of Savannah, GA and C. Dale Collins of Hardeeville, SC; daughter, Diane Lynn Garber (Larry) of Rose Hill, Iowa; sister, Patricia C. Smith (Harry) of Hardeeville, SC; 7 grandchildren,4 great-grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, David Warnell Collins, William C. Collins, and Gene Collins.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC.
