Cecilia Villatuya Bennett Md

Cecilia V. Bennett, M.D. passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 in Hardeeville, SC. She was born January 22, 1931, to Roberto and Constancia Villatuya in Manila, Philippines. A graduate of the University of the Philippine's Medical School, Dr. Bennett was a respected physician in the Lucas County, Ohio medical community with a career than spanned over 25 years. She was a member of the Speciality Boards of The American Board of Pathology and The American Board of Family Practice with a certification from The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr. Bennett retired from private practice in 1992. She enjoyed gardening, music and coin collecting. She was an avid traveler and spent much of her retirement seeing the world. Dr. Bennett is survived by her children and their spouses, daughter Patricia Bennett Nabel (Dr. Douglas Nabel) and son R. Finnbarr Bennett (Lois Clausen). She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Dr. Alcuin D. Bennett; sister, Linda Fabie and her parents. A private funeral attended by immediate family was held in Bluffton, SC.
