Charles Edward (Charlie) Horton

Charles (Charlie) Edward Horton, 66 of Savannah, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Hospice Savannah. He was born October 18, 1948 in Savannah, GA to the late Sidney and Ora Horton. He graduated from Benedictine High School and spent four years in the Navy on a nuclear submarine. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he entered Northeastern College in Boston, MA. Upon graduation he worked for F.D.I.C. and then began to travel to the Virgin Islands and California. He settled into a home in Savannah, GA and drove to Beaufort, SC to work for Butler Chrysler Plymouth as fleet manager for many years. He is survived by his stepmother, Madeline Horton; his uncle, Leslie Horton and nineteen cousins. Graveside services will be held at 11am, on Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
