Charles “Chick” D. Hofmann

Charles “Chick” D. Hofmann, 72, passed peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Bluffton, South Carolina. Chick was the husband of Margaret “Meg” Hofmann (Stokes), with whom he shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Born on February 14, 1944, he was the son of the late Edward and Irene. Chick was an owner of Frank B. Claytons in Philadelphia before his retirement in 2013. Chick’s journey in life started off in PA and his love of the water inspired his journey to move from PA to Sea Isle City, NJ and ultimately to his slice of heaven at Hampton Lakes in Bluffton, South Carolina. Chick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His presence will be deeply missed. Chick leaves to cherish his memory, Meg Hofmann, children; John (Eileen) of Springfield, PA, David (Danielle) of Ocean View, NJ, Brian (Nicole) of Aston, Pa and Megan Teefy (Brian) of Ocean View, NJ; 10 grandchildren; Cory, Riley, Colin, Aidan, Hunter, Hailey, Harrison, Catie, Abbie and Cooper; best four legged friend Benji and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 12 to 4pm at the Commodore Club, 3700 Boardwalk #14 in Sea Isle City, NJ.
