Charles Heyward, 57, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on May 11, 1950. He was the son of the late Samuel and Eleanor Washington Heyward.He was a Banquet Supervisor for the past 15 years at the Westin Resort of Hilton Head.He is survived by his friend and companion, Margaret Bell of Ridgeland, SC; one son, Antonio (Mylesa) Chaneyfield of Ridgeland, SC; one daughter, Ronnessa Heyward (Nathaniel) Wylie of West Haven, CT; six brothers, Peter Heyward of New Haven, CT, Samuel Washington, Robert Heyward, David Drake, Jerry Drake and Randolph Drake all of Ridgeland, SC; ten sisters, Alice Proctor, Anne Burney, Dorothy Heyward, Sheila Heyward, Mary Heyward, Rea Heyward and Johnnie Mae Drake all of New Haven, CT; Jannie Overton of North Carolina, Margie Grant and Mae Drake both of Ridgeland, SC and five grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Center, Ridgeland, SC with burial in Log Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 til 8, Tuesday evening at the Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
