Charles Floyd Humphrey

Charles Floyd Humphrey, 72, of Bluffton, SC, passed away on January 21, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1951 in Peoria, IL. Charles was a beloved husband to Barbara Humphrey, a devoted father to Sarah Humphrey, Joseph Humprey, and Matthew Humphrey, and a cherished grandfather to Cadence Humphrey.

In his career, Charles worked as a respiratory therapist, a private driver, and also ran a grocery delivery service. He was known for his dedication and commitment to his work, always going above and beyond to serve others.

Charles found solace and spiritual guidance at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, where he worshipped.

Outside of his professional life, Charles enjoyed solving crosswords and playing tic tac toe with his granddaughter. He told jokes and stories to anyone who would listen.  These activities brought him joy and allowed him to bond with his loved ones.

A memorial service to honor Charles’ life will be held graveside at Lowcountry Memorial Gardens in Bluffton, SC on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the  Joseph, Matthew, and Cadence Education Fund. The children in his life were close to Charles’ heart and he believed in their education and future.

Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with the arrangements during this difficult time.

Charles Floyd Humphrey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  May he rest in peace.
