Charles Paul Lomartere

Charles Paul Lomartere, 87, of Bluffton, SC passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Veterans' Victory House in Walterboro, SC.

Charles was born in Providence, RI on February 12, 1934 to the late Salvatore Lomartere and Mildred Cataldo Lomartere. He was a long-time educator, whose passion was working with and helping young people. He taught in Italy and Germany for 16 years before moving back to the States. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Charles worked at West Point United States Military Academy for another 15 years. Nothing made him happier than his days at West Point.

Charles is survived by his wife of 25 years, Laurie Dunnay Lomartere; his sister, Ann Lomartere; his beloved brother-in-law, Craig Dunne and his wife, Diana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Veterans' Victory House, 2461 Sidneys Road Walterboro, SC 29488.
