Charles Milton Macdonald

Charles Milton MacDonald, 90, of Bluffton, SC, passed away on February 10, 2024.  He was born on February 25, 1933, in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Charles was a devoted husband to his loving and supportive wife, Patricia R. MacDonald.  He was a proud father to his daughters, Bambi Andrews and her husband Rick Andrews, and Robyn Hubacher and her husband Scott Hubacher.  He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Anita Pavadore, son-in-law Vlada Migic, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his two children, Tami Migic and Kevin MacDonald.

Charles received his education at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army as Specialist Third Class (Corporal) during the combat in Korea.

He was a volunteer driver for DAV, driving over 10,000 miles.  He volunteered for Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.  He was a member of the Scottish American Military Society (Savannah, GA), Knights of Columbus (4th degree Knight)

He spent his 40+ year career as a chemical engineer, working last at Hercules Company (Savannah, GA) and Fort Howard Paper (Rincon, GA).

Charles was a faithful member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC, where he worshipped.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends of Caroline (hospice, 329 Friends Lane; Ridgeland, SC 29936) or St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church.

Mass:  10:30 AM; Friday; March 1, 2024 at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church (Bluffton, SC).

Inurnment:  1:00 PM; Friday; March 1, 2024 at Beaufort National Cemetery (Beaufort, SC).
