Charles (Chuck) Roth, Jr.

Bluffton, S.C. - Charles (Chuck) Roth, Jr., age 82, of Bluffton, South Carolina and formerly of Avon, Connecticut passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at NHC Bluffton after a brief illness. Chuck was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the only son to the late Charles V. Roth Sr. and Berta Pulsifer Roth. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and the University of Connecticut Class of 1954. Before retiring to South Carolina in 2000, Chuck lived in Simsbury, Connecticut for over thirty years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Gail Bockus Roth. He is also survived by four children and their spouses; Brian (Yvonne) Roth of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; Todd (Susan) Roth of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Douglas (Linda) Roth of New Hartford, Connecticut; and Pam (Kevin) Appleton of Durham, New Hampshire. Chuck also leaves ten grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bluffton United Methodist Church located at 101 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC. The burial will take place in Avon, Connecticut in the spring of 2014. Memorials may be sent to Memory Matters, P.O. The burial will take place in Avon, Connecticut in the spring of 2014.
