Charles Larry Weaver

Charles Larry Weaver, 70, of Hilton Head Island, SC formally of Blacksville, WV  entered into eternal life October 26, 2021 at the Medical University of South Carolina following a brief illness.

He was born in Grafton, WV, June 7, 1951 to the late Charles L. Weaver and the late Corrine E. (Gull) Weaver.  A retired coalminer having worked at Consol Energy’s Blacksville #2 mine for over 30 years, he was a certified underground electrician/mechanic retiring in October 2007.  He was a member of UMWA Local #1702.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melinda (Mindy) Zook Weaver, brothers, Terring(Terry) M. Weaver and his wife Terry, of St. Augustine, Florida and Patrick (Pat) Weaver of Gibson, NC.  As well as a large extended family.

He attended University High School in Morgantown, WV,  graduating in 1969.  He continued his education at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV.  Charlie was an avid sudoku and crossword puzzler….the more difficult the better.  He loved the outdoors, enjoying golf, fishing, hunting, gardening and riding his bike.

He was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church located on Hilton Head Island.

A friend too many, helping family, friends and neighbors whenever he could.
