Cheryl Jean Gray

Cheryl Jean Gray, age 67, of Moss Creek Plantation, passed away on July 5, 2014. Born in Chadds Ford, PA on September 14, 1946, she went to West Chester State Teachers College (West Chester University) and Hofstra University, where she received her master's degree. Cheryl taught Special Education for many years at Hilton Head High School. She was an avid sailor, fox hunter, chef, Francophile, and, most importantly, a caring mother. She is survived by her loving husband Eric Johanson; her sons Douglas Fiorella of Brooklyn, NY and Albert J. Fiorella of San Francisco, CA. Cheryl also leaves behind her brother Harry L. Gray III and his family of Pocopson, PA and Tortola B.V.I. and her sister Susan K. Gray of West Palm Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother Vera T. Paulsen and her father Harry L. Gray, Jr. A private service will be held some time in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Walker Foundation with a note that indicates that this donation is a memorial gift in memory of Mrs. Gray. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to help further the mission of the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind.
