Cheryl Lynn Martinotti

Cheryl Lynn Martinotti, age 70, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Harwinton, CT died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA.

Cheryl was born on September 6, 1947 in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Olga Vergaro. She was a graduate of Post University where she earned a degree in Business Administration. She worked with the Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., retiring after more than 30 years of service as a Pricing Manager. She was extremely active with her children’s youth sporting activities along with other youth organizations as they were growing up. Cheryl not only contributed her time but was extremely proud and an encouraging supporter at all times. Cheryl lived an extremely active lifestyle which included biking/walking the neighborhood, swimming and playing golf. Her idea of relaxing involved playing cards, Mahjong, and knitting. She used her talent of knitting and generosity to give back to those in need by providing prayer shawls, beanie caps and other items of comfort.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Thomas E. Martinotti; daughter, Beth A. Martinotti; son, Gregory T. Martinotti (Nancy); stepmother, Harriet A. Vergaro; sister, Pamela V. Yeske; brother, Peter J. Vergaro (Joan); and grandchildren, Joshua T. Martinotti, Ava C. Martinotti, and Cooper H. Martinotti.

Because of the uncertainty of weather conditions, the visitation which was scheduled for Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home has been cancelled. The memorial service and burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington, CT on October 2, 2018 beginning at 12:00 pm.  The family would like to welcome family and friends immediately following at Fairview Farms Golf Course.
